SAM GARRARD – STRADA AGENT

Based in Bristol, Sam grew up in a touring musical family and has spent more than a decade as a bookings agent and band manager; since 2012 he has negotiated headline and main‑stage slots for national and international tours across more than ten countries. He sings and plays five string banjo with the UK bluegrass band Old  Baby  Mackerel, a group he formed in 2016 that tours worldwide. The band have been featured with a five page article in The British Bluegrass News magazine, reviewed by Bluegrass Today and featured on BBC Radio 6 Music.

In addition to his performances, Sam works as a production office manager at Glastonbury Festival, runs an online and in‑person banjo‑teaching business and hosts Bristol’s pioneering bluegrass sessions and workshops. Sam began working for Strada in 2025 and brings his tour experience and passion for music into his role to fully support his roster of artists.
