Rosie Doonan’s MARLEY’S GHOST

“It’s a great sound— just excellent songs beautifully sung and played” The Processed Pea

Rosie Doonan is an outstanding young performer, musician and writer with a wonderfully varied collection of songs. Fronting her fantastic new band featuring Sam Lawrence (guitar, mandolin, vocals & accordion) and Gary Stewart (guitar & vocals), Rosie (guitar & vocals) performs a heartfelt & emotive blend of songs everyone can relate to – in her own lively and charming way.

Radio 2 Folk Award nominee Rosie released her debut solo album ‘Moving On’ to critical acclaim in 2008, followed by two other CDs of great self written material. Rosie has also been working extensively on tours with both Birdy and Peter Gabriel- with whom she was spotted on BBC2’s ‘Later with Jools Holland adding her unique vocals.’ More recently she has shared her time between ‘Cry Baby Cry’- her indie-based band, and shows with THE MIGHTY DOONANS – her extended family band that have been storming festivals and venues!

With a new album on the way, she has reformed her ‘folky trio’ that arguably best express her wonderful songs-relaunching as Marley’s Ghost! The band give exceptional performances – with some cheeky banter, beautiful songs and truly exceptional voices.

An evening with Marley’s Ghost is something you’ll be talking about for a very long time…
